Different filter combinations are used to extend the possibilities.
"Magic Forest" / "Cliffside" / "Waterfall"
This Infrared film has been designed to record radiation within and outside the visible range. Beyond the visible region, the radiation merges into heat waves, and finally into radar and radio waves. With the yellow filter in place, the layers act as though they are sensitive only to green, red, and infrared (all blue radiation is absorbed by the filter).
